In this fine post-Halloween weekend there’s going to be plenty to do.
First, tonight at 6:30, the Booksmith is hosting its wild and crazy Bookswap for the year’s last Bookswap hurrah. A ticket gets you dinner and unlimited wine (!), and all you have to do is come talk about (and bring and share) your favorite book about the end of the world, look at spooky things and kick it with your favorite local book folks. We recommend it, of course: it’s going to be fantastic.
There’s also the Dia de los Muertos parade and shebang in the Mission this evening, from 6 to 11. Bring your marching shoes and a memento of your favorite dead person and/or people.
Milk Bar is also hosting a (coverless) post-Halloween DJ night from 9 PM on. Wooo!
Saturday’s highlight is definitely the year’s last Hard French party, which will kick off as usual at El Rio and translate over to Public Works in the evening (10 PM) to continue there, and help you get your fill of soul, Motown and dancing until they kick off again after the new year.
Party hard, have fun, see you soon.
